Baby Wipe Comparison

When we found out we were pregnant I remember standing in the baby aisle staring at over half a dozen brands of baby wipes and feeling overwhelmed. To you that may seem incredibly trivial, however, to a soon to be first time mom it seemed like a monumental decision.

Now that my hormones have slowed down I realize that choosing a wipe brand truly isn’t a life or death situation. However, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t developed an opinion! I have tried several brands and here is what I think of them.

Honest Company (72 count for $4.99)

The Honest Company Wipe is definitely my favorite. One thing I love about these wipes is that they are textured. I feel like that makes it a little easier for some cleanup jobs. These wipes also have the prettiest packaging- I know in the grand scheme that means nothing. However, I love it! Lastly, the Honest Company wipes are entirely plant based. The biggest drawback though is the price. This is the most expensive wipe I have tried.

Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes (64 count for $2.42)

This is my second favorite wipe! I have so far only used the “sensitive” line. There are a few other options within that brand though.  One great thing about the pampers wipes is that there is a reward code system (though, admittedly, it takes a ton of points for small rewards).  They are thicker than other wipes i’ve tried, stay moist, and the packaging is a good quality.

Huggies Natural Care Baby Wipes (64 count for $2.42)

Like the Honest wipes, these were also textured. They were also the thinnest wipes. However, I don’t think that necessarily effected the performance of the wipe.  It still worked better than the Target brand. I just preferred the thicker wipes. This brand also has several other “types” under the Huggies brand name.

Up & Up Unscented Baby Wipes (72 count for $1.59)

Overall this is my least favorite brand so far. The top of the plastic container pops off if you hit it even the slightest. I have knocked the lid off and spilt all the wipes out twice just this week.  Also, the wipes as a whole are rather dry and each individual wipe is thin. It is the best deal financially, however the few cents it saves isn’t worth sacrificing quality. (And honestly, you have to use more per diaper so I don’t think it actually saves money).

Babyganics Unscented Baby Wipes (400 count for $14.99)

These wipes were nice because they were also plant based. However, unlike the Honest Co wipes, these had zero texture. They also felt more on the thin side. The smallest package you can buy of these wipes (at Target) is the 400 count box. However, that makes it within half a cent per wipe in comparison to the individual packages of Pampers and Huggies (not the value packs). Also, Babyganics does regularly  offer coupons in the Target Cartwheel app!

Anyways, I hope that this information is helpful to you. Hopefully you’re not stressing the small things like I was! Feel free to comment below what your favorite brand is and why!

Walmart Infant Baby Box

A few weeks ago I wrote about Walmart’s Baby Box Set. They send you three different gift boxes- one for prenatal, one for a baby, and one for a toddler. Each box contains samples and costs only the five dollars for shipping. Last week I received the second box, my infant box. It contained the following samples and coupons:
Samples:

  • Arm & Hammer Sensitive Laundry Detergent (2.25 fl oz)
  • Aveeno Baby Lotion (1 fl oz)
  • Aveeno Lotion (1 fl oz)
  • Huggies Travel Wipes pack (8 count)
  • Mam Anti-colic bottle
  • 1 Huggies Diaper (size newborn)

Coupons :

  • $3 off huggies diapers
  • $1 off Arm & Hammer Sensitive Laundry Detergent
  • $3 off Pure Bliss formula by Similac
  • $2.50 off of Lysol

We are already fans of Aveeno so I liked the samples! However, I don’t think we will end up using the bottle because I breastfeed and the few times we have used a bottle she likes the Phillips brand. So it was cool, but in this box’s case probably not worth the five dollars it cost to ship. I could have just bought an actual bottle of lotion! That said, I do love getting mail though, so not a total waste haha.
I can’t wait to see what the third and final box contains!!

Free Sam’s Club Baby Samples Box

In my search for cool baby freebies I also stumbled upon Sam’s Club free baby box. You don’t have to have a membership and it was completely free! I didn’t even have to pay for shipping. The downside: it took over two full months to arrive. That said, it is still a free gift with very little work required. The sample box included the following random assortment:

  • Slimfast baked chips 1oz
  • GoGo Squeeze AppleApple 3.2 oz
  • Goodness Knows cranberry almond chocolate snack square (1 piece)
  • Huggies natural care wipes (8 count)
  • Size three Member’s Mark Diaper (1 count)
  • Brouchures for Sam’s Club membership &a Travel Site

It’s a pretty random assortment of products. Honestly, it wasn’t the best box, but it was completely free, so i’m not going to complain at all. Plus, even one free diaper is one less diaper I have buy! So I recommend trying this, but after ordering put it out of your mind because it will take forever to arrive!

Target Registry Complimentary Gift Review

A few days ago Michael and I decided to make a registry at Target.  Even though we don’t know the gender and it is still early, there are a few things that every baby needs! Also, we were still in shock and I thought it might make it feel more real. On top of that, I have decided to blog about all the new mother promotions I can find! I know so many pregnant ladies, I don’t want anyone to miss out on any opportunities!
It was so fun to walk around and day dream together.   Plus, looking at all of the baby stuff made me feel all happy and maternal. The scanner they give you to make the registry was super simple.  It took us less than two minutes to create our account and then we just pointed and scanned! Some things I like about this registry include being able to edit your list online at anytime, the wide variety, and that when someone buys something it gets marked in the list. (No repeats!)
My favorite thing though was the cute little goody bag they give you when you sign up! It comes in a plastic tote bag. (Ours was a little beat up, but the inside was fine.) The samples and coupons were actually really great! Even if you don’t want your main registry to be Target, I would make one just for this cute little bag. Here is what is included:

COUPONS:

Target paint coupon

Pampers diaper coupon

Happy Mama Prenatal coupon

Starbucks coupon

Target nursing bra coupon

Liz Lange for target maternity clothes coupon

Enfamil coupon

Kinsa (thermometer) coupon

Munchkin Step Coupon

SAMPLES:

Honest Company: 2 size two diapers and a travel size wipes package

Avent: natural Bottle

Avent: travel baby lotion

Mustela: sample skin care & coupon

Up&Up (Target): 20 pack unscented wipes

Boogie Wipes:,1wipe & coupon

Aquaphor: baby healing ointment & coupon

Latch: 2 miracle nursing pads

Lansinoh: 2 disposable nursing pads & 2 breastmilk storage pads

Nuk: orthopedic pacifier

Babyganics by Target: plant based, x3 concentrated laundry detergent sample size & coupon

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste: diaper rash ointment & coupon

Overall, the Target experience was really fun.  The sales associate that helped us get set up was very kind. It made it feel a tiny bit more real. (But I still can’t 100% comprehend this is happening!!!)

Keep an eye out for more reviews and suggestions and don’t forget to share!

Walmart Pregnancy Baby Box

Sophie recently suggested I order the Walmart Baby Freebie Box! You just pay a $5 shipping cost and they send you this pregnancy box. I had heard about it beforehand, but hadn’t decided if I should try it. On her recommendation I signed up!

They send you three separate packages based on the due date you I’ve them. The first box is the Expecting box. Next is the Newborn/Infant box, and it will finally conclude with your Toddler box. (Each time there is a five dollar fee). We ordered our box Oct 23 and it was delivered October 29th, less than a week total! I was very excited about that.

It arrived all packaged in a cute little box. There was a decent amount of product inside, though nowhere near as many awesome samples and coupons as the Target goodie bag I talked about earlier. Here is what was included:

  • Pampers travel case (includes mini wipe pack and one newborn diaper)
  • All sensitive skin dryer sheets (5 count)
  • Baby Bee Nourishing Lotion (1 oz)
  • Cetaphil Baby Wash and Shampoo (1.7 fl oz)
  • Bio-Oil: PurCellin Oil (.5 fl oz)
  • Vera Ve: Healing Ointment
  • Dapple Naturally Clean Bottles Sample (one use) & $1.00 off full size product coupon
  • Aquaphore Healing Ointment Baby ( .03 oz)

Overall, it was fun to order and I’m excited to try the Bio-Oil (supposedly helps prevent stretch marks). I don’t know if it actually saves you money because I wouldn’t really have bought any of those products besides the Burts Bees lotion. Since I paid five dollars in shipping… but either way it was fun to get some baby related fun in the mail! And it gave me a few new products to try. Let me know if you decide to try it too!
